Post Dreamland visit on a warm August Saturday afternoon. My first visit here - nicely busy - I like it a lot.

Busy at first with a large group of visitors and regulars. One of the visitors tried to walk off with a guitar and did not get very far. The pub now owns a café a little further up the harbour arm, they will deliver bacon sandwiches to the pub for £2 each.

Massive crowd in. Business is brisk and at £3 a pint excellent value. Take note Queen Charlotte

A bank holiday in Margate and the place was heaving with bikers, there were hundreds, quite possibly thousands of Harley Davidsons, Triumphs and Nortons plus one lonely Vespa parked around the Harbour Arm. The pub has moved next door to its previous premises and is now twice the size that it used to be. (I will upload an up to date picture soon). The queue at the bar averaged ten people but with two serving and one collecting glasses waiting time was minimal. Inside the pub area was a 50-50 mix of motor cyclists and micropub enthusiasts, a very good atmosphere.

Pub has just moved. Next door. Twice the size but still serving quality ales. Mixed clientele most with good humour.

Sunday afternoon, very little room inside so we tried sitting outside, but the sea air was just a little too bracing so we squeezed ourselves back in to the pub.

Afternoon. A good old 68th birthday boy paid for a 90 minute tab on perhaps the last dog day of the Summer. I felt the beers should have been several degrees cooler to match the weather for a more refreshing drink.
