Evening. Surprised to hear loud music in a Micropub as they normally shun all forms of electronic entertainment.

A cold sunny February day but kept warm here thanks to the log burning stove ☺️ Nice session with conversation from how busy the Baker and Greengrocer was across the road to how Guns N Roses version of Live And Let Die is much better than the original by Wings 😊

Really looking forward to my first visit here, but left rather disappointed by the range of ale's on offer. I was hoping for something a bit less common. Very busy throughout our stay.

What a great little pub this is, the decor is very gothic and slightly on the macabre side, right up my street. I like the picture of guitarist "Slash" pointing you to the direction of the loo :)

The pub is found in Whitstable, Kent, CT5 1BB.

Micropub in central Whitstable in the High Street. Formerly a delicatessen called Olivias. Various problems dogged the opening date but it finally opened for business on Sunday 22nd September 2013. A very narrow building with black tiled floor and a traditional bar counter at the back with 5 unused handpumps for decoration only although are however adorned with the current pumpclips, behind which is a viewing panel into the same level cellar where the real ales and ciders are dispensed on gravity stillage. The bar walls are part tiled, part upholstered with a number of pictures hung. High level bench seats are along the full length of both side walls and are accompanied by high tables. The interior has a dark gothic feel. From the bar up one step to pass the entrance to the cellar on the way to the toilet. Currently closed long term due to Covid-19 pandemic. Seems like a change of use has taken place from a pub and without any planning permission. Currently operating as a picture gallery.

We have visited this pub 75 times, seen 177 different beers and tried 68 of them.
