11 Dec 2011 (Alenomore)
1330 visit and here for the annual winter beer festival. Some excellent ales on the pumps and a small stillage. The Roast Lamb meal was spot on, the folk music from the Old Lone Gin band was very good too. 10% off the ales for Camra/NHS/NUS members. This was so good today, I had no time left to visit the much acclaimed Foundry. A great day out and will have to return soon.
Skinner's - Jingle Knocker | 5.50 | | Good to see this old favourite up this way. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Little Cracker | 5.00 | | An excellent LocAle offering. |
Buntingford - Silent Night | 4.10 | | A true dark delight. |
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Snow Top | 6.00 | | Another new ale from one of the best micros in the South-East. A 5* treat, incredibly hoppy, very drinkable, so much so, 5 samples taken! |
