Mid-afternoon. An unusual all-day opening to celebrate green hops.
Free snacks and a good gathering of regulars and not-so-regulars.
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Green Hop Ale (2019) | 4.80 | | Lovely. |
| Kent - Green Dwarf | 3.70 | | Very good flavour, a bit lacking in body. But no doubt a very good session ale. |
| Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Green Hop Fuggle Bitter (2019) | 4.20 | | Quite sweet and a surprisingly amber colour., grew on me as the pint progressed. |
21 Sep 2019 (Jack William)
Early evening - the Coldred Produce Show is being prepared in the main bar - much activity around the marrows, potatoes, roses and other home-grown produce plus cakes, a photography section and a category for up-cycling.

| Romney Marsh - Best Bitter | 4.00 | | Not at its best. |

30 May 2019 (Jack William)
Timed my cycle to sample three ales as the Gadd’s ran out just after my pint. Lively banter with the regulars as usual - one told me that he was off to see Afghanistan play Australia in “Brizzle” - I thought it was a wind-up, but apparently it was true - World Cup cricket in Bristol.
| Hopdaemon - Golden Braid | 3.70 | | Fresh on and very pleasing. |
| Romney Marsh - American Pale Ale | 5.00 | | Yum. |
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - HPA Hoppy Pale Ale | 3.60 | | Very tasty - especially for a 3.6 |
01 May 2019 (Jack William)
Early doors - soon filled up nicely with locals - plus a German lady walker who was made welcome and included in the conversations.
| Oakham - Citra | 4.20 | | Fresh barrel, slightly hazy - but popular and going down very easily. |
| Breakwater - Kashmir | 4.70 | | |
