Last stop on our tour. I liked it. The split level was a touch odd for a micropub but actually, I liked that too.

14:30 visit. Nice place, only four locals in plus the young barman and myself, in complete contrast, to the utter madness of folk week, that has just finished, so they told me. Five decent, and different, ales on. Good choice of Cider too. Quirky footnote: In April, yonks before this place opened, I bought a book from Detling Heritage Transpoprt Show, called Mind The Gap, which I'm currently reading at home. I'm sure the governor here has got copy, but if he hasn't, I'll bring it down next time....

Evening. Well settled in already. The two level format makes the "Guv holding court" style of Micropub impossible here. Beers were cooler than I expected with the constant opening and closing of the cabinet doors.

Retail premises conversion into the micropub style at the top end of the High Street near the railway station. Opened officially on 15th July 2016 with a soft opening the day before. Cask ales and ciders / perries sold on gravity dispense from a chilled cabinet on the upper level behind a bar counter. The lower level has tables and chairs with a couple of settees in the bay window. Operated by the same people that have an interest in the nearby award winning Yard of Ale. Railway themed including interest adorning the walls and a real length of mainline rail acting as a foot rail at the bar counter upstairs. Thanet CAMRA branch Cider Pub of the Year 2017.

We have visited this pub 87 times, seen 91 different beers and tried 51 of them.
