Busyy both inside and out inthe garden. Nice view out over cornfields. Pricey.

Sunday lunchtime for lunch - busy almost exclusively with diners - good food and polite but rather inattentive staff - very slow - at the bar and in serving lunch.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Imperium4.00GoodA malty, but not very distinctive beer.
Shepherd Neame - Whitstable Bay Premium Ale4.10Good
Moor - Raw4.30GoodVery tasty with strong citrus notes, unfined version and very cloudy.

Popped in for a quick drink as I was in the area. The pub's been refurbished and feels much bigger and more open than before. I liked it although at £4.70 for a pint and a packet of crisps I won't be rushing back!
BeerABVScoreNotes

Sunday late afternoon session, live music (Martin Jonathan). Friendly crowd of about 30 clustered around the bar, friendly landlady too. Only 2 of the 4 pumps were on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - IPA3.60AcceptableNice enough session beer. Not a memorable pint but it smelt fine and did have a reasonable bite.
Greene King - Morland Old Speckled Hen4.50PoorI can't say undrinkable because I drank it, but it was pretty near the mark. A fairly pleasant hoppy smell, but a truly nasty, sour aftertaste.
11 Jun 2005 (Andrew)
The pub was taken over 6 months ago. The inside was fairly open in feel and a house shoe shape with the bar in the middle.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - IPA3.60AcceptableNothing special about this beer of which I generally think nothing special of
