I've been here once before but it was closed. We arrived by taxi (a luxury) on the promise of Goachers Old being on - and it was. What a lovely pub. We sat on the mezzanine floor, over looking the main seating area.

Two of us came here to visit whilst this village still has a bus service, the current hourly bus service is under threat. Awful weather outside meant that the wind occasionally blew the main door open. Good service and a good mix of customers.

Lunchtime visit with a group of friends who had not been here before and were most impressed. There is some concern about the future of the 155 bus that currently serves this pub.

Saturday lunch time and a good crowd in. We stayed longer than originally intended owing to two buses in a row on the hourly 155 service being cancelled because of a serious road traffic accident causing significant delays.

Mid evening visit after a 15 minutes walk from the station in the gloaming. Just a few in including voices from the upper balcony. Friendly barmaid made everyone feel welcome. A most worthwhile visit. Outside pavement drinkers ushered inside at 9.30 per pub's licence conditions.

The pub is found in Aylesford, Kent, ME20 7AX.

In High Street and just as the name suggests, this is a little gem. The third of Goacher's tied houses. Two room pub with main room and bar on ground floor and split level balcony upper room with view over the ground floor. Lots of exposed original wood beams and white washed walls. Sadly closed in 2010 and all thought was lost but Goacher's Brewery has purchased and refurbished the venue with a re-opening date of Monday 28th June 2021. Real ales served through 2 handpumps on the bar counter and from 2 or 3 chilled casks on gravity dispense on the bar back.

We have visited this pub 11 times, seen 16 different beers and tried 11 of them.
