Busy for my very early afternoon appearance here and to catch up with a SE London micropub's minibus daytrip to this micro followed by the micros of Herne Bay. I went by train and so enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in Herne Bay before the scenic coastal walk of some 30 minutes. A full house for this little micro but prompt and friendly service. It is perhaps the only one or just one of a few micros that suspends opened up brollies from its ceiling to help absorb customers' voices on the inside. The extended tops of the brollies hanging down is what you see above your head and works very well!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 54.40ExcellentVery good head and lacing on this Ramsgate bitter. A pleasantly dry bitter first hit. A moreishly dry, malty mouthfeel with its bitterness lasting well in the aftertaste.
Kent - Kent Golding Bitter or KGB4.10ExcellentVery good head and lacing on this Birling-based bitter, south-west of Snodland, in Kent. A dry first hit from those wonderful Golding and Fuggles' hops used in its making. A hoppy and pleasantly fruity mouthfeel with a moreishly dry hoppiness lingering.

Fairly quiet early evening. Very pleasant atmosphere in the pub. All beers though were about 2 degrees too warm for some reason.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Broadside4.70ExcellentReally good. Lovely oaky rich caramel and light chocolate flavours. Slightly too warm but the beer held up well to this.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 54.40GoodExcellent condition. The slight warmth took a bit away from it making it a bit too syrupy.
Canterbury Ales (sometimes badged as Canterbrew) - Kentish Best3.70GoodGood condition. Rough hops and malt. Touch too warm.
Tonbridge - Easy Street Pale3.90GoodExcellent condition. Rich hoppy and peppery. But the warmth took a bit off the edge.
