Delighted to meet the landlord and landlady - next time I will get their names! Landlord had been to Hove beer fest on thursday (strictly for research of course). Found out some very interesting info regarding Dark Star... we will keep it secret for the time being!

This was definitely The Find of our saturday tour. It is an independent Freehold and the current landlord has a keenness to develop a real ale reputation. He and his wife have been only been here 8 months and they are due their first day off next week! Cottage style restaurant, local pub flavour, darts, bar billiards. Accommodation available and also large rear garden. Well worth seeking out. The plan is to always have a Dark Star pump and a Harvey's pump with varying guests. We were given the treat of a beer from the cellar!

We have visited this pub twice, seen 7 different beers and tried 4 of them.
