These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Bear & Ragged Staff | | 13 Feb 2011 | Wow! So much flanour for just 3.2%. Licquorice and burnt caramel in this dark bitter. Despite the low ABV, not a session beer. This beer epitonises the art of excellent craft brewing. |

McGargle | | 30 Oct 2010 | First tasting since abv was boosted from 2.7%. Gone are the the dark fruity flavours, body and smooth mouthfeel replaced by dominant chocolate and not much else. A change for the worse for one of my all time favourites. |

Ian | | 29 Oct 2010 | I mean it's not a mild as it's too hoppy. It's a dark bitter but a very good one. |

McGargle | | 22 Jul 2009 | Another exceptional ale from the BrewDog alchemists. Pours almost black with long lasting creamy head this is a mild at 2.7%; full bodied, fruity and with a long dry finish. Totally moreish and £1.80 a pint. |

Ian | | 02 May 2008 | Very dark brown, bubbly beige head. Some hops on aroma. Some grainy choc and cereal. It's not a bad little mild, bit grainy, but fine. Bit smokey, some hop on finish. Didn't think it matched up to all the hype it had been getting. |
