BlairAcceptable27 May 2011 I want to love this beer but I don't. A little sweet and cloying for me.
BlairExceptional09 May 2009 This was absolutely fantastic. A light amber colour but with the sort of chocolate malt flavour you'd associate with a dark mild. Really rich and incredibly interesting beer.

Martin the MildmanAcceptable19 May 2011 Full flavoured amber strong mild with quite a lot of bitter malt flavours and rather high hoppiness for a mild, but it is a modern one I suppose. My score 14/20.

Martin the MildmanAcceptable06 Jun 2009 Not overkeen on this, quite a dry, bitter malty taste and a very dry almost astringent finish.
IanGood06 Jun 2009 Slight haze on a reddish amber beer with no real head. I'm guessing this is a try at a recreation of a pre WWI strong mild. Not overly syrupy but very malty and only slight hop presence. Slightly dry on the grainyness on the swallow. I can't pinpoint why I like this beer but I do. Not showy on the alcohol. Yes decent fruit, yes good mouthfeel, bit ersatz I suppose the sum is better than the constituent parts. Good beer.

AndrewGood23 May 2009 Smelt of Twiglets in a good way. Hazy, rich, hints of strawberry and orange peel. Tany finish with low hopping. A good beer but just a bit too rich for me.

BlairExcellent10 May 2009 A little warm, the opposite to normal in here. Still a really good beer. Rich and chocolatey, yet amber in colour.
