Good ride here - worked up quite a thirst up the climb from Wye. Lunchtime, a number of diners in and an elderly chap who had walked from Wye station.

Early lunchtime a few locals in. My first visit here for decades. Very impressed with the decor and surprisingly a coal fire already. The landlady was interested in the green hop festival but has a house rule to only use Kent breweries.

Second pub on our tour on this busy Saturday lunchtime with mostly families and noisy young children which rather spoilt the ambience of this delightful usually quiet and peaceful village pub.

A very interesting visit as usual. Ron showed us his newly acquired Harley Davidson motor cycle and a rare Breeds of Hastings brewery badge, Breeds ceased brewing in 1931 when they were taken over by George Beer & Rigden of Faversham.

A well proportioned 2 room pub with a long garden at the rear. The smaller of the 2 rooms is taken up with a pool table whilst the other room is larger and L-Shaped. The floors are bare board and the furniture is eclectic. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2017, 2018, 2019 and again in 2022.
