10 May 2016 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening until 11pm close. A slightly delayed train from Kent made for a dash for the slowly closing closing-time doors.
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Peverel | 4.50 | | Nothing wrong with its condition. Session IPA, 100% Mosaic hops but a taste abomination. Might just as well have bought a Jif lemon for squeezing on a pancake, pure lemon juice not a beer |
By The Horns - Diamond Geezer | 4.90 | Not Tried
Tap East - East End Mild | 3.50 | Not Tried
Tap East - A.P.A. (American Pale Ale) | 4.30 | Not Tried
Tap East - Smokestack Porter | 6.50 | Not Tried | At 6.2% this time |
Vocation - Heart & Soul | 4.40 | Not Tried
02 May 2016 (Stephen Harris)
A couple of evening pints with Terry L. Pub very quiet.
Dark Star - American Pale Ale (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 4.70 | | Top notch. |

Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | Not Tried
01 May 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Evening visit after a day out in Essex.
Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | | Cloudy and golden and fruity and refreshing. |

Hammerton - N7 | 5.20 | Not Tried
Dark Star - Wheat Purple | 4.20 | Not Tried
07 Apr 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Evening visit – always a bit busier here on a Thursday.
Tap East - IPA | 6.00 | | Perhaps a little bit too fresh today. |
Oakham - Citra | 4.20 | Not Tried

31 Mar 2016 (Philip Pirrip)
Early evening before launching off to Kent. Other beers details lost in this website's server crash.
Tap East - Peanut Butter Pint (collaboration with London Brewing Co) | 4.70
28 Mar 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Lunchtime visit. Most of the people present were here to have a beer or two before heading to Brisbane Road to watch football in the afternoon.
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Tinker's Cuss | 5.20 | | An amber-coloured Rye IPA flavoured with peppercorns. |
Fernandes - Black Voodoo | 5.10 | | A very full-flavoured, black, chocolate and orange-flavoured Porter. Just perhaps, too fully-flavoured. |
Tap East - Peanut Butter Pint (collaboration with London Brewing Co) | 4.70 | | Brewed here, in collaboration with London Brewing Co. Black, smooth, creamy and nutty. A bit stickier than I really like. |
Tap East - Fill in the Blancs | 5.50 | | A Blonde-style beer brewed here in collaboration with Laines Brewery and featuring the Hallertau Blanc hop, which gives a very fruity flavour to the beer. |
Tap East - Caribeer | 6.20 | | On keg dispense. No head at all, but helped by a gentle carbonation. A slightly alarming red colour. Described as a ‘Sorrel IPA’, this beer is additionally flavoured with Hibiscus and ginger. All the flavourings are apparent. |
Oakham - JHB | 3.80 | Not Tried
Tap East - A.P.A. (American Pale Ale) | 4.30 | Not Tried
21 Mar 2016 (Stephen Harris)
All this week the three guest beer pumps will be featuring beers from fellow brewpubs. The pub is very quiet in mid-evening and I stand at the bar with Terry L and Steve M as we reel of a long list of closed pubs in Leyton and their many faults.

Instant Karma - Bramling Porter | 5.00 | | A lovely, black Porter hopped with fruity Bramling Cross. |
Falstaff - Smiling Assassin | 5.20 | | A dark beer that is sweetly malty. |
