16:45 visit. Not been to Dovers pubs since Feb 2011 and this was the final port of call on todays mini crawl.Very busy at the bar with the staff trying to cope. Many visitors from the earlier, Channel Dash memorial ceremony were also in. The ales were all familiar, but I gave up waiting today and headed for the station.

Saturday evening, and very pleasant. I have not been here for a considerable time and the place seems to have changed for the better. I was pleasantly surprised to see a number of people from a cruise liner berthed at Dover Western Docks choosing to come in hereI did not make a list of all the beers that were on offer.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - More's Head (previously 3.4% & 3.5%)3.70ExcellentReally good in here tonight. I had a good number of pints of this, and did not bother to look at the rest of the selection of ales.
04 Feb 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Quite a few festival goers in here for breakfast etc before the start.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Miller's Mirth4.20AcceptableRather sharp and bitter with a piney hop flavour that is not really to my taste. My score 13/20.

As the White Horse was closed, I came here and was joined at the bar by Roger Marples, a local beer luminary and we chatted about hoppy beers.
