Woodforde's - Wherry | 3.80 | | I often pass over this, but in fact it is damn good-a fine East Anglian bitter with biscuity malt and a lasting hop. |

Early afternoon. Fancied a trip out and it's a nice drive to the Bowl. Handful in around the bar enjoying the large real fire that was roaring away.
Banks's - Young's London Original (was Bitter) - previously brewed in Bedford and at Wychwood | 3.70 | | Perfectly good condition but it tasted quite watery. Might have been because it was a touch too cold. |

After trying to find a spot for a picnic with a view and no wind we gave up and went to the Bowl. I've never been here before and was interested to see what it was like. It was a friendly pub with quite a few people in. The interior has an open plan layout with a central fireplace. The garden is fairly enclosed and large. I liked it.
