I caught the second half of the Lithuania v England match on TV here on the way home from work. Pub quiet.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tap East - IPA6.00ExcellentSuperb.
Tapstone - Sea Monster4.20ExcellentLemony-citrus, hoppy golden beer. I don’t know if it is meant to be like this, but my pint was also very salty. Almost like a Gose. Tasty and refreshing.

Early to mid-evening on a Saturday and I’m sat outside with the smokers. The survivors of this-morning’s pub crawl are here, with one or two additional friends as well.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tap East - Bad Co. Madeira Aged Bourbon Brown7.40ExcellentLovely; but just a half today. Got to leave some for others to try.
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's)3.40AcceptableNot on best form – a little green I think. I still found room to drink several.
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Jaipur5.90Not TriedThey seem to be having trouble shifting this at £5:60 a pint.

Tap East - Saaz Saison4.50Not TriedQuickly ran out and not replaced whilst I was here.

Mid-evening visit, pausing on the way home. There seems to have been a sharp price rise for stronger beers, although regular strength cask beers remain £3:30 for home-brew, £3:60 for guests.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tap East - Bad Co. Madeira Aged Bourbon Brown7.40ExcellentFabulous beer. This second cask seemingly even better than the first.
Tap East - Saaz Saison4.50AcceptableUnusually straightforward at a time of exotic saison flavourings.

Not for the first time in here I reflect on the irony that I can see a so-called ‘International’ railway station outside the window, but that it has taken me nearly an hour to get here since I whizzed past on a Eurostar bound for St Pancras. Very quiet tonight at around 10pm.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Oakham - Citra4.20ExcellentI think it would be possible to survive on this beer alone.
Great Heck - Black Jesus6.50ExcellentA superb, heavenly, strong, chewy, Black IPA.

Mid to late-evening at the end of the weekend. Some chap was enthusing about the micro-pubs he had discovered during a day out in Kent – ‘I could do that’, seemed to be the message.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tap East - A.P.A. (American Pale Ale)4.30ExcellentGood enough to have a couple.
Bad Co. - Lime Pale Ale4.40ExcellentOh yes. Very nice indeed. Description as in the beer’s name. Not one for the ‘citrus-haters’ amongst us.

I’ve had a few very quick visits here lately which I’ve neglected to report – popped in for a quick one last night as I had a 20 minute wait for the bus (which inevitably I then missed and walked home instead). More Milk Stout – it’s everywhere just now.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Bad Co. - Dazed & Confused5.50ExcellentA smooth, chocolaty Milk Stout that is less obviously lactose-sweet than some.
