Mid-evening and quite busy for a Monday. Launch tonight of Tap East’s Christmas special beer, a Cherry Porter which can be purchased in a deal including a mince pie.
| Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | | Lemony/citrus refresher. |
| Tap East - Cherry Porter | 6.00 | | Smooth, strong and near-black Porter, heavily flavoured with cherries. The cherry taste is neither overly-sweet, nor is it sour. |

| RedWillow - Shameless | 5.90 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - IPA | 6.00 | Not Tried | |

07 Dec 2015 (Stephen Harris)
After work on a Monday, and trade starts to quieten down after around 8pm.
| Oakham - Citra | 4.20 | | Every bit as good as usual. |
| Tap East - Tri-State | 5.80 | | Strong, brown, sweetish beer. Malt dominated. In the ESB or Burton Ale or Winter Warmer style. |
| TicketyBrew - Coffee Anise Porter | 4.90 | | An unusual combination of flavours – but I think it does work. |
| Salopian - Hop Twister | 4.50 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - East End Mild | 3.50 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Brownstone | 4.90 | Not Tried | |
26 Nov 2015 (Stephen Harris)
After work, chewing the fat with a friend.
| Wild Beer Co. - Bibble | 4.20 | | Unfined, golden beer with massive hop hit. Fruity and bitter. |
| Wild Beer Co. - Millionaire | 4.70 | | A challenging beer. A near black Milk Stout, flavoured with salted caramel. It is lactose-sweet, salty and tastes of nuts and toffee. None of these are tastes that I particularly value in a beer, but the whole thing really works and I like it a lot |
| Tap East - East End Mild | 3.50 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | Not Tried | |
| Vocation - Pride & Joy | 5.30 | Not Tried | |

29 Oct 2015 (Stephen Harris)
Mid-evening, at first in a comfy chair and then standing at the bar with Terry L.
| Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | | Apparently the hops used in this beer vary from time to time and today I found the hop flavours more vegetal and less citrus than I recall. |
| Broxbourne - Fallen Angel Black Death | 5.20 | | An extraordinary beer. Dark in colour. It is massively flavoured with chillie. Burning to the tongue and throat, it literally brought tears to my eyes. Never tasted anything quite like this before. |
| Oakham - Bishops Farewell | 4.60 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Madécasse Chocolate Porter Toasted Coconut | 5.00 | Not Tried | |
22 Oct 2015 (Stephen Harris)
Excellent beer line-up if you are a friend of the hop. I’m only staying for one and opt for the unfamiliar beer, but would happily have drunk any of the others.
| Ghost - Spectre | 4.40 | | Golden. Full of New World hops of some sort. |
| Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 3.40 | Not Tried | |

As already reported, this was a special chocolate evening. Quite a few after-work suits here in the mid-evening, which changed the atmosphere from its usual relaxed state.
| Tap East - Madécasse Chocolate Porter Toasted Coconut | 5.00 | | Lighter and easier drinking that the Milk Chocolate version of this beer. Dry, with toasted barley flavours and minimal coconut taste. |
| Tap East - Madécasse Chocolate Porter Milk Chocolate | 5.00 | | Very deep brown in colour. Very chocolaty, smooth and creamy. |
