I hadn’t planned to come in here, honestly. But walking past I spotted Steve from Ramsgate at the bar, and then Steve from Lewes appeared. So we set up a little Steve’s Corner.

I met my friend Jeff here in the mid-evening. He’s a bit footsore after a full day’s guided walking tour of Woolwich (Yes, really, Woolwich – I’m not making that up).
BeerABVScoreNotes
Siren Craft - Half Mast QIPA2.80ExcellentThis appears to be a different beer from the ‘½ Mast, Quarter IPA’ by the same brewer. It is an astonishing beer. The lowest strength one yet that I have seen in the golden, hoppy style. And remarkably tasty.
Tap East - East End Mild3.50Good
Oakham - Inferno4.00Not TriedThe fastest seller tonight.

Early evening visit and the pub is busy. The fact that two new beers are being launched tonight is responsible for part of the crowd.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Tap East - Saison Vic Secret6.30ExcellentFull-blown, golden, cloudy Saison. Spicy, peachy, strong and sour.
