Evening until close. The homebrews here seem to be getting even more inventive.

07 Mar 2013 (HSB)
First stop on a pub crawl of the East End. Wanted to try some of their home brew but all three were high ABV, not a way to start a long day.
Fyne - Hurricane Jack | 4.40
01 Mar 2013 (Stephen Harris)
A very enjoyable evening here, with a good crowd present for the unveiling of two new, collaboration beers. Melissa Cole was here to make sure we all appreciated the finer points of her blood orange beer, whilst the guys from Trees Can’t Dance kept us supplied with bowls of free chilli con carne and hot, fresh chillies to nibble on.
Ilkley - The Mayan | 5.30 | | A dark chocolate and chilli beer. Absolutely full-on, with both flavours more pronounced than in the Tap East beer. |
Tap East - Elysian Peels | 5.50 | | A pale ale made with seasonal blood oranges. It is a cloudy beer with an orangey-red colour. Sharp and bitter, but easy-drinking for its strength. I liked it a lot. |
Tap East - Tap Dance | 5.30 | | A dark beer with well-developed chocolate and chilli flavours. |
Dark Star - Sussex Extra Stout | 4.50 | Not Tried
Oakham - Preacher | 4.30 | Not Tried
Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | Not Tried

I was changing trains at Stratford, and had the choice of running for the next train, or spending 30 minutes in the pub. No contest really.

Quite a crowd of shoppers and after-workers in here.
Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | | My current favourite of the Tap East range. |
Tap East - Nebula Galaxy IPA | 7.40 | | A special occasion tonight, and I was treated to a bottle of this expensive speciality. Amber in colour and cloudy. Pours with no head, but some carbonation. Really fruity – peachy – from the Australian hops. Lovely. |

A long day of pubs and football winds up here and extends well in to the evening.
Oakham - Citra | 4.20 | | Wonderfully citric bitter – possibly the best beer all day. |
Tap East - IPA (Bramling Cross) | 5.20 | | Smoothly fruity. |

There have been a few snowflakes falling in the area and the usual British panic reaction has set in – the shops are quiet and this pub unusually near-empty.

Last halt on a successful and busy pub crawl, and we remain here to closing time.
Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | | I do like this one. |
Tap East - Gwaneth | 7.00 | | An orange, cloudy, strong and hoppy wheat beer, brewed ‘in collaboration’ with Sharp’s Brewery. This beer launched here tonight. |
Florence - Trilby (branded as A Head In A Hat Brewing) | 4.00 | | Based on a 1930s recipe, and very bitter. |
