Leisurely cycle via the country roads from Denton. Here for 5 pm opening. The local walking group turned up shortly after. Nice.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Romney Marsh - Amber Ale4.20GoodMuch better than the Mellow.
Romney Marsh - Marsh Mellow3.60AcceptableMellow by name, mellow by strength and flavour. If I was being less kind I’d say insipid.
05 Jul 2021 (Jack William)
My cycling destination of the day. Met up with a couple of old friends at 5. Colin is back behind the bar while his daughter quarantines so service was pleasantly sedate! Unfortunately just the one ale on after a busy weekend apparently.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Copper Top4.10AcceptableThink it was this beer - Colin didn’t seem sure!
11 Jun 2021 (Jack William)

Ideal place for a pint stop after a 44 mile ride via Hythe, Folkestone and Dover. Early evening - two tables of locals in fine form.

Takeaway at 1730. This little pub has persevered throughout the year and has been well supported. I think it will make it back to normal in 2021 unlike many others I fear.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 73.80AcceptableBit weak to see off 2020 - but ok.
18 Dec 2020 (Jack William)
Takeaway of course - but managed to sup a pint with a local outside, well away from the pub whilst keeping socially distant. When will this nightmare end?
BeerABVScoreNotes
Kent - KGB or Kent Golding Bitter4.10Good

Despite the rain and with darkening skies I cycled here for 5pm opening. Well worth it, a jolly gathering of locals. Appropriately my favourite pub for my 1400th entry.
