Beers all changed yet again. Dave has now completed his extension in the cellar and is looking forward to having 9 handpumps on the bar. Good music and conversation until Brian turned up and the conversation turned to how racist is the immigration officer in Come fly with me.

Mid Friday afternoon and there was a decent smattering of locals sat around the bar. I'd seen on the pub's website that Goachers Old was on, so I had to come and get some didn't I? First time I've had it this year.

Still one of the best beers I've ever had. Strong, yes. Malt and molasses. Still some hop on the end, bit of bite. Hint of purple sourness on the finish. Really good condition. Just that fruity sour syrupyness developing on the finish already. Unbelievable beer.
Excellent non tied pub in Sandling Road, run by Dave and Julie serving 9 real ales from local and far flung breweries. Regular live music nights and food on offer everyday. Always at least one local ale on offer. Real fire and computer. Maidstone and Mid Kent CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2017. Also voted West Kent Pub of the Year, 2010, 2011 and 2017. Voted Kent Pub of the Year, 2010, 2011 and 2017. 9 handpumps are all located on the upper level bar counter. The current cask ales range and prices are always listed on an overhead computer screen too.
We have visited this pub 1259 times, seen 1529 different beers and tried 1165 of them.
