| Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | | This one comes on quite often and it travels well! Great taste, perfect temperature and ready to drink. |
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 3 | 5.00 | | Too strong for an old man like me, but still tasted great. Slept well afterwards! |
| Woodforde's - Wherry | 3.80 | | A real favourite, rare in this neck of the woods and well worth a visit to try it. Fresh, clear and spot on.
Will it last until the BEER FESTIVAL? Probably not but with about 20 others to come on over this weekend, I wont care!!!
(the list is now available, I noticed) |

I am sure that this pub is not related to the Phoenix. Different and totally independent landlady who is ALWAYS very welcoming, (not saying that the Phoenix is not also welcoming!)

Great atmopsphere, full of musicians after a concert. Buzzing! Beer first class again. Black Sheep, Rudgate Ruby mild, GK IPA, Dark Star Festival, Harveys Best, TT Landlord and draught Biddendens Medium cider.
Even better news is there is a beer festival for the Bank Holiday weekend starting Thursday 26 May. About 20 beers from all over. Should be great - is it on the "festival" link here? Dont know how to do it!
| Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | | always on and always excellent |
| Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | | Lovely pint, right temperature and new on for the weekend. |
| Rudgate - Ruby Mild | 4.40 | | Not my cup of tea, but in great order - and a champion beer in a small local.
Good idea! |
| Dark Star - Festival | 5.00 | | very popular, selling fast. Sweet but with a kick |
| Black Sheep - Best Bitter | 3.80 | | As good as ever |

2nd stop on our crawl around Canterbury. Only a few locals in as well as the friendly pub-cat. Apparently now owned by the same guys that run The Phoenix.
| Thwaites - Wainwright (please now use the Banks's entry) | 4.10 | | Not bad, a little dull and lifeless. I blame that on the brewer rather than the pub. |
| Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried | |
| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 3 | 5.00 | Not Tried | |

26 Mar 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Quiet start then a group arrived to fill the place up a bit.
| Adnams - Extra | 4.30 | | Not seen this beer for years so had to reacquaint myself with it. Pretty much as I remember with a sharpish fruity flavour and a malty finish. My score 15/20. |

I really like this pub these days. Great beer line up, friendly barman who almost insisted that I try the Old Peculier before buying my pint, pub cat, eclectic group of customers discussing photons and the like. Good stuff.

In Canters xmas shopping. Andrew posted that one of my favourites was on here, but alas the Old Peculier was all gone by the time we arrived. For info, it will be back on from Tuesday, said the friendly barman. Just a couple of other in on a Saturday lunch. Missed the Ian and Andrew pub crawl too!

Not been here for ages. The inside has changed. It's got nice dark red walls with brick columns. The atmosphere was pleasant.
