First day of the beer festival and there are actually enough beers on for me to do a three thirds round.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Batemans - Brouwerij 't IJ Ijbok6.00ExcellentRuby colured strong ale that actually worked for me. Sweet with fruity hop flavours and some malt. Full bodied with a lingering fruity finish. My score 16/20.
Caledonian - Devil's Advocate4.20GoodRuby coloured lager style beer with good malt character, low hoppiness and some fruit in the finish. My score 15/20.
Titanic - Golden Porter4.70GoodInteresting beer style that worked quite well. Smooth tasting, quite bitter with a dryish finish. My score 15/20.
