This pub has changed hands again after another temporary closure. This former Enterprise Inns pub is now a genuine Free House. My visit was on a quiet Monday lunchtime so I was able to enjoy a good chat with the landlord (who has been here for about a fortnight), and the other customer. I did not eat here but the sandwiches and hot dogs appeared to be good value. A supply of Wantsum beers was expected to be delivered later in the day.
BeerABVScoreNotes
St Austell - Tinner's Ale3.70GoodA session beer, deep amber in colour, malty, nutty flavour.

What a scorcher. Sat out the back and roasted. The pub was quite busy inside which was good to see; as were the 2 Wantsum beers that were on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - More's Head (previously 3.4% & 3.5%)3.70GoodCloudy with bits floating in it but even still it was a tasty pint. It's has quite a rough, unsophisticated hop that I'm getting to like the taste of.

The pub has changed hands so it was interesting to see what beers they had on. The inside of the pub hadn't changed much. All the lager-taps were now back in use though and the piped music was a bit louder than usual. Anyway, we sat out the back over looking the railway and enjoyed the early spring sunshine.

Wantsum - 13813.80GoodNot in fantastic condition but quite acceptable. Pale golden-brown colour with earthy citrus notes.

Wow I've not been to a pub in over 3 weeks! ...and this is a good pub to break the fast. Met my now ex-boss here for a swift one. There was one other customer in sitting at the bar.

Me and my dad fancied a trip to Canterbury and this ended up being our first port of call. I really like this pub, very chilled out and relaxing. Perfect place to while away a few hours, just a shame it's so far from the station.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsbury - Flint Knapper4.20GoodNice fruity bitter with a little caramel. Maybe a little coffee, actually quite a complex beer. I rather liked it.

A few people were in eating. We sat at the back on the comfy sofas and enjoyed our beer. Well I enjoyed my beer; my companions enjoyed their real-cider. There were 6 beers on but I can't remember the other 2
BeerABVScoreNotes

A swift visit for a quick pint. Quite a few people in which kept Linda busy on the food front.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Banks's - Young's London Original (was Bitter) - previously brewed in Bedford and at Wychwood3.70ExcellentJust what I wanted. I often overlook this because I can get it more or less anywhere. It's an excellent light-brown session bitter. Hints of syrupy malt and earthy hops. Ace.
