I was the only person in for a while until a steady stream of locals turned up.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Nelson - Santa's Salvo4.50AcceptableRuby coloured but a bit hazy in true style for a Nelson beer. Hints of chocolate malt but a powdery, rubbery taste dominates. My score 13/20.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Little Cracker5.00AcceptableStrong amber bitter with a little spiciness for extra bite. My score 14/20.

Dropped in at about 14:30. There were seven beers on at the bar plus another five pump clips stuck to the wall with these beers available out the back. Not all of the beers listed on the web site are available at the same time, but nevertheless there was plenty to choose from.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harviestoun - Good King Legless4.50ExceptionalStunning! A seasonal take on Bitter and Twisted I imagine but really superb. Amber colour, good lasting foam head. Huge front of the mouth hit of pear drops and citrus fruit, followed by a well balanced malt finish. There are definitely two separate aspects to this, so the flavours may not always be so intergrated, but this pint was great.
Theakston - Old Peculier5.60GoodReally good strong chocolate beer. Not a fruity as I remember and slightly milky.
Wantsum - Black Pig4.80GoodNice black smokey beer. Probably my favourite from this brewer.

A handful of folk at the bar. The barman is always friendly here and it's a good atmosphere. We sat at the rear of the pub and listened to the rock on the stereo (good stuff).
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Dynamo (superseded by 4.3% version)4.60ExcellentReally good. Smooth and well rounded. Excellent condition. Had that toasted peanut flavour that seems to be the underlying flavour of nearly all their beers. Really enjoyed this.

Sat out and dodged the 20 or so wasps that fancied a bit of my pint.

First time here since being taken over again. 7 handpumps on, decent group of locals. Sat and drank my pint in peace. Quite a nice place to lose a few hours.

Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 54.40GoodVery good malty bitter, maybe served a touch too cold and could have been in slightly better condition. Bloke sat at the bar said that it was very popular as lots had ordered it.
