Lunchtime visit for no other reason that I was stuck on a bus that wasn't going anywhere because the road was blocked by a broken down lorry and I abandoned ship and came in here. A good crowd of locals in the small bar.

Thursday afternoon and just before 3pm. I thought this pub was open all afternoon but it now closes at 3pm during the winter months, so only time for one pint today.

A lunchtime visit, and a good chat with the locals. June informed me that she has given in her notice to Sheps, and there are currently two prospective couples going through the interview process to take over the tenancy.

Two of us came here for lunch, and a few beers of course. The beer festival was due to start at 6pm but we had tasters of the beers available. I have only scored the beers that we drank pints of.

Saturday lunchtime and quite busy. I have not eaten here but the food looked very good.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Samuel Adams Blonde Ambition4.50ExcellentA collaboration brew between Sheps and the Boston Beer Company to provide a pale summer ale with a mix of American and English cascade hops giving a strong flavour of grapefruit. I had the very end of one cask, followed by a pint from a fresh cask, both were very good.
