Evening visit to their bank holiday weekend beer festival. Well attended with a lot of comings and goings. I was treated to a whisky by the landlady - on a very nice Yew tray. The craftsman of the trays was also there, “I love Yew” I told him, time to leave ...

| Wild Weather - King St Pale | 4.20 | | Unfined and quite cloudy - but a good fresh lemony taste. |

| Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Puja | 6.70 | | Lip-smackingly good. Fresh on as the Viceroy finished. |
| Westerham - Viceroy India Pale Ale | 5.00 | | I had the last pint - and a bit more gratis. Very drinkable - and rated very highly by a number of other customers who bemoaned the end of the barrel. |

Early evening- (world cup just finished) but plenty of people here to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Katrina running the pub - free food, music and Jaipur on at “2 bloody 50” a pint.
Two other real ales on as well as the five listed - Azacca and Session IPA - but didn’t note the brewers on these.
This pub just gets better and better.
| Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Jaipur | 5.90 | | Would have rated excellent earlier in the day no doubt - but this was on its last legs (at £2.50 a pint it was going quickly. Still packed a punch. |

Friday evening visit as I saw they had Oakham’s Tranquility on. Busy with familiar and not-so-familiar faces.
| Oakham - Tranquility | 6.50 | | So drinkable for a strong ale - just a tad on the sweet side or this may have got top marks from me. |
| Fyne - FyneBank | 4.60 | | I was almost dissuaded from tying this as it was described by another customer as having a medicinal flavour. I really liked it - thought it was similar to a peaty malt whisky that had been diluted. yummy. |
| Mobberley - Boom Juice | 3.60 | | A good warm up for the Tranquility. |

Back for the Freeborn Brothers music set on Sunday afternoon of the beer festival. Very good band “Polish Gypsy/Punk/Hobo Trash Band”.
Very busy in the garden, a bit of space on the pub. Great atmosphere.
Some other beers still on from Thursday.
| Moor - Hoppiness | 6.50 | | Oh yes - body and flavour superb. |
| Castle Rock - Elsie Mo | 4.70 | | Fresh, nice. |
| Isle of Avalon - Sunset | 4.30 | | Marked up as 5%. Pleasant. |
| Box Steam - Stoker’s Quench | 4.40 | | I have a soft spot for this brewery because of its location near the K&A canal, but this was quite an ordinary malty bitter. |
| Three Sods - Mon Chéri IPA | 4.50 | | This was 3/4 pint at the end of the barrel - gratis - still a very crisp, clean IPA - surely would have rated excellent at its best. |
| Harvey's - IPA | 3.50 | Not Tried | |
| Musket - Matchlock Mild | 3.80 | Not Tried | |

| Dark Star - American Pale Ale (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 4.70 | | |
| Oakham - Mompesson's Gold | 5.20 | | Unusual flavour for Oakham’s - not the big hoppy bite, more a mellow, rather sweet ale. |
| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 3 | 5.00 | Not Tried | |
