I’ve been shopping and inevitably end up in here.
Redchurch - Great Eastern India Pale Ale | 7.40 | | A rare chance to drink Redchurch beers from the cask – and Gary the brewer is on hand to make sure we are all happy. It is golden, hazy, strong and intensely hopped. |

A morning visit whilst on my way to St Pancras. I was not sure whether the pub would be open, but they were. I sat and enjoyed a pint in peace and quiet before continuing my journey.

Very busy for the launch of a new Brewsters Brewery beer.
Brewster's - Chocolate Cyn | 4.80 | | A black, chocolatey, cinnamon-spiced Porter. Has a blackcurrent fruitiness from use of Bramling Cross hops. |

17 Feb 2012 (Stephen Harris)
Two visits here, either side of an excellent evening’s cycling at the Olympic Velodrome. Unexpectedly busy up to closing time.
Tap East - Double Hard Stout | 4.60 | | Not clear if this is a new beer or just a new name, but tasted more robust than the previous two stouts. |
Redemption - Big Chief | 5.50 | | Strong, pale and hoppy, although not in perfect condition. |
Tap East - IPA (Cascade) | 5.00 | | Simply badged as ‘IPA’, but staff confirmed it was the Cascade recipe. Good and hoppy, but more rounded, and consequently better in my view, than last time I tried it. |
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 3.40 | Not Tried
Oakham - Tranquility | 6.50 | Not Tried

06 Jan 2012 (Stephen Harris)
A steady trickle of customers, including some who are dumped here in a "man creche" situation, where they can avoid interference in the important business of shopping. There was also a Brecon Brewery beer called, I think, Windy Beacons.
Otley - UtObeer | 4.00 | | A very good pale ale with a crisp hop taste - brewed "in collaboration" with Glyn of Tap East and the Rake. |
Tap East - JEB | 4.20 | | A crisp, golden bitter with a citrussy hop taste. |
Tap East - Winter Warmer | 4.60 | | A malt-heavy, premium bitter. |
Oakham - Citra | 4.20 | Not Tried

23 Dec 2011 (Stephen Harris)
Busy with weary and recuperating shoppers in need of refreshment (myself included).
Tap East - IPA (Cascade) | 5.00 | | The first of what promises to be a series of single-hopped IPAs. |
Brecon - Cwrw-istmas Beacons | 4.20
Tap East - Stout | 5.00 | | More of a porter than a stout to my taste - but I know that is controversial territory. |
Oakham - JHB | 3.80 | Not Tried
Elgood's - Golden Newt | 4.10 | Not Tried
Dark Star - Winter Meltdown | 5.00 | Not Tried
