Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanAcceptable18 Aug 2007 Gold with thick lastnig beige head. Never sure in a Spoons if this is how the beer is supposed to taste. Good condition. Fine bitter, nothing out of place, but nothing remarkable either. English hops are ok, earthy, bit of tingle on end, faint citrus. Malts give mouthfeel fullness. Yeasty/citrus aroma. Fine.

Exmoor Fox

4.20% ABV.

Exmoor Fox is cunningly crafted from a cunning blend of several malts and hops to produce a mid-brown beer of unusual subtlety and taste. The slight maltiness on the tongue is followed by a burst of hops with a bitter-sweet aftertaste.

We have tried this beer 14 times.

We have given this beer an average score of Good to Excellent.
