Lunchtime cycle meet. We sat in the sun trap at the back of the pub. Green hop ales and, sadly, a final cask from Constellation Brewery, now apparently ceased trading.
Constellation - Indus | 3.90 | | Smashing ale - good body for a 3.9
The landlord told me the brewery had just ceased trading - what a shame. |
Hopdaemon - Incubus | 4.00
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Extra Pale Ale Green Hop | 3.70 | | Fresh, but rather insipid. |

Back for a cycle meet 4 weeks after I left here for my big trip. Warm words of congratulations. Pretty full around the bar and a good number eating and in the garden. Continues to be a good trad pub with food.
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Über Brew | 3.80 | | Just perfect. Now badges as Uber Hop. |

Lunchtime for the 4th day of their beer festival. Well attended, live music. 2O of 24 ales still on. Just listed those I tried.
Shivering Sands - Spring Tide | 3.80 | | Badged as a UPA, Ultra Pale Ale - straw coloured with good body and a very good hoppy bite. |

Hopdaemon - Green Daemon | 5.00 | | Good condition, a little sweet. |
Kent - Session Pale | 3.70

Thursday lunchtime - pleased to see the pub doing well. Missed their recent beer festival unfortunately - it apparently was very successful. Must try harder next year. Only 2 ales on I think - Gadds was so good I stayed on it.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 5 | 4.40 | | Perfect after a warm, dry cycle. |

Back again with the “bus pass” group. Excellent service, well sheltered outdoor space. A very good session - this is what we have been missing.
Hopdaemon - Incubus | 4.00 | | Superb condition. |
Musket - Flintlock Best Bitter | 4.20
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | Not Tried

Lunchtime. Our monthly micropub group decided a bigger pub may be better this month. We weren’t disappointed. Plenty of tables and three covered areas in the garden including an outside bar. Two beers straight from the barrel outside and remarkably cool considering the ambient temperature- some cunning plumbing working well.
Hopdaemon - Incubus | 4.00
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10
