Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

AndrewGood17 Apr 2009 Not actually a festival beer which was a shame as it was better than those festival beers I tried. Rich orangy syrupy beer with lots of citrus hops.
IanExcellent17 Apr 2009 After drinking some disappointing festival beers, this was superb. Gold, lasting beige head. Lots of grapefruit hop on aroma. Lots of hops everywhere. That is excellent uber hoppy beer for the UK. Resiny hops, lovely.

IanExcellent31 May 2009 Just as hoppy as when I had it in The Society Rooms in Maidstone. I swear there is something like Simcoe hops in this, something PNW American anyway. So drinkable, but I could only have one as the ironing at home was calling me.

Bear & Ragged StaffGood02 May 2011 A classic English Ale, copper in colour and a slightly biscuity aftertaste. Very nice.
