Early Friday evening. Got a place in the corner by the log fire and settled down with a superb pint and Private Eye. The place was buzzing. Chatted to some local CAMRA types and a couple of regulars. This is what a good pub feels like,
Only issue is the blackboard- lacks detail and as I only took a pic of this I couldn’t list all the 7 ales on. One was just marked up as “Traditional” at 3.6 ABV.

Ah the New Inn. Arrived at 6:15 to see Ian at the bar ordering. It was fairly busy but eventually we got our favoured seat in the back. Martin arrived a bit later and we all had a great time.

Early Sunday evening. A genial atmosphere. Excellent choice of ales as usual - the only fly in the ointment here is the one, experienced, bartender who seems incapable of pulling a full pint and makes a fuss when asked for a top up.
