Hogan Sampling		31 Jan 2026	Very good head and lacing and lasting well in its transparent plastic beaker on this Old Ale brewed at Litlington* in East Sussex, north-west of Eastbourne, and near the seaside town of Seaford some 3 miles away. A dry bitter first bite. A good dose of dry maltiness with notes of coffee and chocolate rising and a bitter hop or two abseiling downwards care of its Fuggles and Bramling Cross. *The Long Man of Wilmington, also known as the Wilmington Giant, is some 3 miles north-east of Litlington on the steep slopes of Windover Hill. The massive outline of a human figure, 235 feet tall, is holding two long staves or poles. Long Man Brewery has integrated the Long Man of Wilmington figure into nearly every aspect of their design and brand identity and their Old Man Old Ale is a direct nod to the figure.
