Hogan Sampling		23 Aug 2025	Head and lacing, very good, and lasting very well on this Kentish copper-coloured bitter from East Peckham, north-east of Tonbridge. A very bitter first bite and quenched my thirst from the hike from Ashurst admirably. A hoppy bitterness rising, with a hint of fruity herbal spiciness from its Northdown, Challenger, Golding and Fuggle hops. A maltiness winning over with a biscuity flavouring. A pleasantly dry bitterness sailing off. It is my favourite Tonbridge beer alongside the runners-up for me, the Traditional, a light brown session bitter with its mild toffee flavourings and hoppy hints, and the Countryman, an amber best bitter with its hints of caramel, toffee, fruit, floral notes and spice.
Hogan Sampling		23 Aug 2025	Head and lacing, still very good, and lasting, still very good on this Kentish copper-coloured bitter from East Peckham, north-east of Tonbridge, and having tried it here earlier as well and much enjoyed it. A hoppy bitter first bite. A dry bitterness presenting itself. A fruit-infusion along with its herbs and spices tantalising my taste buds. Its Northdown, Challenger, Golding and Fuggle hops lending it a dry hoppiness with a hint of biscuity flavouring from its malts. A balanced bitter dryness sailing off in waters none too rough. Undoubtedly, my favourite Tonbridge beer and very moreish it was too and very welcome before the final trek back to Ashurst Station and via more of the main road than going and so as to aid a lesser ramble across country footpaths.
